theres a case number and the police that was there was telling him how he should from now on start backing into his driveway backwards so that he can see better when he pulls out of the driveway, so i assumed they were saying he was at fault. i should bring that up with my claims person.

 

get a copy of the report. It usually takes 5-10days and $5. Then send a copy to your claims adjustor.

 

the police never determines fault in car accidents. they just write a report on what happened. but like :rick: said...he was backing onto the street. he has to yield to traffic. therefore, his fault. you better go slap the guy's insurance. and dont forget to tell them that the accident caused damage to your "integra" badge, and it must be replaced. h:

 

no they do. when tony ****ed up and ran a red light and got hit by another car making a U turn, the police report said he was at fault.

i thought it was for insurance to determine.

 

insurance does but the police report determins who was the cause of the accident blah blah blah, aka fault.

 

when i got into the same type of accident 3-4 years ago in the integra, the police made a report and it said that it was the other guys fault. i guess its just in the case where neither people deny they are at fault like in this situation, but then again, he was backing out and should have seen me coming.
