Default Oh man...I'm so excited now!! (New Zelda)

Nintendo surprised everbody at E3 by announcing that they dropped the cel-shaded look for the new Zelda and went for a more realistic look (a la Space World 2000, for those that know what I mean).

Yet one more reason why Nintendo >>> *

They also unveiled the new handheld system, codenamed DS. It has 3D graphics capabilities somewhere between N64 and GC quality, the bottom screen is a touch screen, and it has wireless capabilities. Both screens are backlit.

i've got a sneaky feeling nintendo is gonna start doing what sega does, and just start making games. their game systems just aren't pulling the company through.

i dunno why, i just feel that.

i think so too. their hardware is great, but they don't focus on the points that really matter. not using full size DVDs for the game cube was a mistake. the gameboy DS, while a neat idea, just doesn't stack up to the amount of features that are going into the PSP. although i wish nintendo could survive, i think sony is going to conquer them pretty soon.. so sad

Well rumor has been around they are ditching the console market and moving back into handheld only market again. They have always been solid in handheld but they lose interest too quickly and take too long with the console and console games market.

not using full size DVDs for the GC was totally not a mistake...God forbid they try to protect themselves from piracy.
As for the DS vs. PSP...if I get a game system, that's what I want, a game system, all the extras are useless.
those are the points that "really matter".

It's just a rumor. They're already working on the next generation console.

gee and that should sell like hotcakes considering how badly they fukked the buyers of the GC in game selection and output of fresh games

They're actually doing very well now after the price drop...and IMO, they still have the best game selection out of the 3 consoles.
