whats the usual weight of a b18c w/ transmission?
since i wont be able to install the engine for a while (need other parts), would it be alright to store it on the ground? what would be some other options on storing it?

yeah, but how do you actually move it? i need to get the engine from jay, but i don't know how to move it. get a bunch of guys to lift it to the truck? i don't think that would work very well.
Chase and I carried his B18C on a crate with no problem. It's pretty heavy, but not impossible. Just get a few guys to help you with it.

Ha ha, I moved that sucker with a forklift. If your storing it for a while, slide an old junk tire under teh oil pan so it's not sitting on concrete and be careful you don't drop it when moving as you can do serious damange to the oil pan.

4 cylinder Honda engines usually weigh about 200lbs, maybe a little more. All you need is like 3 people to carry if. If you don't have a truck remove the passenger seat in your car. You should have created a big enough space for the engine.
