RB's new toy *pics*
 

Well, I felt like taking up a new hobby, so I went out and bought myself a 6 string acoustic guitar as well as a manual for beginners.

I gotta get my mind off my ex gf or else I'll go crazy, so I figure this'll help ease my pain.

I can't wait to play :D

its amazing how soothing it can be. I sat down with it alone and just strummed it a few times. I don't know any keys or how to play AT ALL, but I layed back with my eyes closed and just plucked the strings and I felt a ton better.

I'm guessing actually learning how to play wont be as theraputic :oh:

rb i just started playing for about a month. Just keep at it. I sucked sooo bad at 1st, and now i know a couple songs. anytime im pissed off i just go play. soo soothing

yeah, your guitar will be your next best friend once you get the hang of it. what brand is it and how much did you get it for?

i started last fall.. and my fingers would jus hurt like hell, skin would peel off. no probs now :)

it's a Takamine G-series? :dunno: I don't know anything about it, but the guy at the guitar place said it was pretty good quality for a beginner/intro guitar. I got it for ~200 with a bag, extra picks, extra strings, and an electric tuner.

Finally... did you flip the strings around? Or you gonna play righthanded.
