I was driving down a backroadish major highway a few minutes ago and out of no where this CRUCIAL pothole magically appeared, with cars next to me, and a rail closely to the left i had nowhere to go...BOOOM! my heart dropped as i heard a loud ass rush of air hissing... :sad: I pull over quickly to find my tire flat... :wtc: I'm an idiot because I don't have a full size spare for my 17's because my last spare got ruined by a pothole a few weeks before! So now I'm out of spares and a flat tire...I'm in the middle of nowhere, and I left my cell phone at home because i didn't bother to go back cause i had planned to come right back from the store..so I decide to try and drive it the rest of the 10 miles home...when i get home...the tire is burnt the f*ck up and it smells horrible...i check the rim for damage but i don't see any...I really didn't care about rim damage, i really wanted to get home because I was already having a bad day because of a previous argument with my g/f....

Now I gotta try and get the tire replaced tomorrow...if there is rim damage, i swear i will cry..

Sorry to sound like a b*tch, i just hate bad luck..

i'm going to say yes, there's a chance. i had a flat once and didn't have a tire iron that would fit into the holes of my rims to get the lugs off (i had never tried before then) and drive a good atleast 12 miles on it (completely flat) going as slow as possible. and there was absolutely no damage to the rim at all. so i'm going to say it's possible.

 

sorry to hear that. Who knows, you may get lucky with that one wheel...

at least you didn't run over a box with both right wheels, destroy 2 tires, then almost have a heart attack when you relize that there is a huge chunk of wheel missing from the inside

 

Aww man that sucks, what happens to it? Does it bend it a lil out of shape? I peeled the tire back a bit and didn't see and bends on the lips of the rim...
