as stated before, the admin tools of the vb > admin tools of phpbb.

another reason is customer support. phpbb doesnt have customers, so they dont have cs. for vb, as long as you have a registration # for buying their software, they will walk you thru problems, give better advice, etc.

A big :thumbup: for having the texts of replies in the emails.

I have never seen this before except in Zeroforum.
vB has actually had this for quite some time, we just disabled it because of conflicts between vB and PHP in previous versions. vB3 utilizes it's own mailing program now.

I noticed today that the vB email was only sending one reply, making the user visit the thread again to reactivate the emails.

In Zeroforum, the user receives every post in every thread to which he's subscribed.

No idea if you'd be willing to consider that or if it's wise based on the use you purchase for the board.

Not sure I can code this, but I will check on it.

That's nice and all, but there are other platforms for a community, which is why I asked my question. Fact of the matter is, it's just a personal preference of the admin of the site.

I'm getting more acclimated to this version of the vB, but the black/grey on the old version was much better...

:::EDIT:::

now that the black/grey is officially up, it looks better... h:

The only semi-major issue I have with vB 3 is that it is more functional in lower resolutions... and the drop-down on the quick links menu is the same in both "default" and black/grey - and it sits about an inch left on the screen from the "quick links" on the nav bar...

I like the new features...especially the preview of the post in emails and the multiple quote.
