I wasn't aware etch-a-sketches could have multiple color depths. last time I tried one it was solid gray, and it didn't get much (if any) darker

i dont know if that particular one is chopped, but there is some guy ive seen on tv who can do them that well, so id guess that its real

yeah, the color depth makes it fake.

i think you can get color depth if you tap your finger on teh screen and knock some magnet off

werd ive got a friend who is an artist and he does some amazing things on an etch a sketch

Well, I'm just going by the amount of detail in that, but I think that if they were to tap the screen it would mess things up more than it'd help. But I've never tried it, so I can't say for certain.

I believe the appearance of color depth is achieved by just added more lines closer together...from a distance it'll make it look darker with more lines, and lighter with less lines.
