update on my speeding ticket from GA
I wrote GA asking about taking a class to so points dont show up on my license from the speeding ticket I recieved coming home from my road trip to NYC. I got ticketed for 91 in a 65 zone.
Here is thier response:

I think I'm gonna send a nice "thank you" letter with my money .... perhaps a fruit basket too.

Dear Mr Nelson:
Judge Brooks is in reciept of your letter regarding the above referenced citation and asked me to respond with his decision.
Although the Judge was very reluctant to do so because of your speed, he has reducted the citation to 79/65 which will result in no points on your driving record as we do not report "14" and under to the Dept of Public Safety. Although the speed is reduced, you must pay the fine of 135.00 for the origional speed. Payment must be in the form of a cashiers check or money order, made payable to Recorders Court of Chatham County, and processed before your court date of February 18. 2004.
Failure to handle this matter before your court date will result in suspension of your driver's license. THerefore, your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated.

I got caught going 78 in a 35 zone and the cop told me "just get out of here"
