Default call of duty

anyone play yet? personally, i think it kicks the ass of any FPS out right now. it's freakin' incredible. of course, you need a good PC to run it.

i don't think i'll be playing counter-strike anytime soon. h:

Is it another Medal of Honor expansion?

I'm not hip on all the new games. If it's that good I may go 'get' it. :rick:

As much as I love realistic war/military FPS's...WWII is starting to get a bit played out. They should do a good WWI FPS. Also, Battlefield Vietnam should be pretty cool when it comes out.

Call of Duty is a game entirely seperate from Medal of Honor. The Best Buy rep told me though that the makers of it also had a hand in MOHAA. I personally play MOHAA online almost every day!! I can't get enough of Omaha Beach!!

MOHAA's development team (well, most of them) quit and formed a new team that built Call of Duty. COD is a fun ass game, the team AI is great. I wasn't real thrilled with the British missions, most of them were more you against the world type of play, but the american and russian levels were great. I can't really get into the mutliplayer. Behind emeny lines is a neat concept (you start as an axis player and you have to find and kill an allies player, once you do, you swtich and start gaining points until your killed and return to the axis side). It's all too realisitic for my tastes. I've played too much RTCW:ET and it's fastpaced team based gameplay to swtich.

:eh:

what's the point of doing WWI?
1. there were no nazis.
2. it was nowhere near the scale of WWII.

anyway, here's a great review on call of duty:

and you guys are right. some of the team members that did medal of honor, did help create CoD, but it is a completely different game.

Call of Duty > Battlefield 1942 by FAR!

It is incredibly realistic in so many ways. The weapons are realistic, the AI is really realistic, etc.

Here's an example. It's a fact that you couldn't reload the M1 Garand without running out of ammo first. It's the same in this game.
