Upgraded PS2?
[ I was just on Best Buy.com and they had under their weekly ad an advertisement for the Limited Edition PS2 which comes with a 300 Mhz processor, I'm sure the OG PS2 ain't 300 Mhz. What was it and does anybody know how to tell the difference? ]

i think thats the one with the built in IR Receiver for the DVD remote and updated the DVD drivers for the PS2. A quieter fan...and....i forget whatelse...
I think they call it the "PS2 PLUS" because there is a yellow plus on the blue box. |

it HAS to be the same...
not only would that screw the timing up in a lot of games, DVD playback depends on a proper microprocessor frequency to work properly... Somewhere in the field of 92-94 Mhz... Whatever the clock speed of the PS2 is is also 3 times the speed of the DVD player spec speed. |
Here is the ad, it makes it sound like the CPU speed was upgraded
