So my mom got a parking ticket.
From Campus Police at my sister's school. She parked in a handicapped spot, but there was no sign, and the marking on the asphalt is faded and it was covered by dirt from nearby construction, so she couldn't see it.
On top of that, they fined her an extra $50 for "Blocking Emergency Exit", while there are absolutely no signs saying that there's an emergency exit there. Now...how does it make any sense that that space is both a handicapped parking and a no parking zone? Do they fine handicapped people $50 every time they park there? Also, if we don't pay them, will they just report it to the real police? |

they don't do shit till the 3rd ticket usually, in which case they will boot her car.
tell her to write a letter appealing it, with pics after that, if it doesn't work.. tell the school to go **** themselves, they won't report it to the police, even if they did, they police wouldn't do a THING EVER! |

She's probably boned. My school if you got a parking ticket and wanted to fight it, you had to pay it first before they would even let you contest it? I guess if you won, you got your money back (I guess, I never bothered).

It doesn't matter if they don't report it to police, she can just drive a different car when she goes for the next soccer game. It's a private university, BTW, not a high school. |
