Nokia 3595. I would recommend the 3390, but they don't seem to offer that phone anymore. Either that or the Siemens S55. Of course this is to say that you're going with Cingular.

Sanyo SCP-8100. it has color and a camera, but it's been through hell and back and it still works like new.

i'm waiting for sprint to come out with the new walkie-talkie phones.

Nokia, LG, and Motorola are the only phones I'd even consider. - supposedly Sanyo's are nice

I've had Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericson, and now I'm back to Nokia - all since 1996. My first phone was a Motorola Tel Tac 250. That thing was a tank but never failed

Everything else is C R A P ! ! !

I had an older nokia with cellular one service and it was garbage. 1/2 the time I'd have 1-2 bars of signal and it wouldn't call out, just drop the call as soon as it tried. The battery contacts got worn and it would shut off randomly and the little stubby antenna eventually broke completely off. I have an LG VX6000 with Verizon and I'm a lot happier. Battery life is weak if you use the LCD to play games all the time (I'm always playing poker on it).
