end of nov. its nov 20 something
you will have to pay less than $1 a month for as long as u keep ur old number with the new service provider
you cannot cancel and start a new account using the same number. u can only KEEP the number when you switch

ok there's miscommunication over here...
if you wanna change ur cellphone, u can either buy it urself and upgrade that way or call up ur SP and ask them for an upgrade. usually its cheaper if you just go buy ur own phone urself.
so basically you wanna keep ur service but upgrade ur phone.
i thought you wanna discontinue ur service and reactivate using the same sp and keep the number. cuz they wont let u do that.
is there a phone u want?

just call your service provider and ask them if you can be split off of your mom's account and keep your number. You/your mom are/is paying for cellphone service including the customer support that can answer your question...
