Default Is there a Dr. in the house?

So does anyone know about blood clots? My girl got one in her leg, but the people at the ER just hopped her up on blood thinners and told us to go home. I'm just wondering if there's anything we should be doing at home that will help the situation...aka Elevating the leg, heating it, etc.
