All of a sudden a few days ago Winamp starts to make crackling noises like a record and it skips when I play videos or load web pages. It doesn't seem like I'm low on RAM, Memturbo says I've got 221 MB free. 22.1 GB free of 55.8 on the HD. ANy ideas?

when weird stuff was happening to my winamp i uninstall and reinstalled and it worked ok :dunno:

 

version 2.666. I've been using it for a loooong time. Also, skips seem to start when I click on a link in IE6 or "x" out of a window in windows. The similarity here is that windows makes a sound like a "click" when you click a link or "x" out of a window. :thinking:

yap, i just downloaded and installed version 2.91 and problem went away. :thumbup:
