Default rpm's surging up a bit

96 Prelude S AUTOMATIC . 98k miles. Just recently I've noticed my rpm's are surging up about 50-100 rpm's. When under a heavier load sometimes it doesn't shift when it's supposed to. It holds off and shifts later.

Thought it was the transmission, took it to specialist and he said the tranny is still nice and shifting where it should be. Said he thinks it might be something fuel line related. Sooo, I replaced the fuel filter, put in some higher grade gas, and poured in some fuel system cleaner and reset the ECU. That seemed to help a bit for the drive home (4miles?). Then seemed to be back to what it was doing before.

So I couldn't remember the exact milage I had changed my oil before (was less than a month) so I changed that too. I used an oil system flush first so see if that would help knock something loose that might be stuck. Changed the oil like normal and it's running smoother but still haveing the rpm surging up problem.

I'm almost ready to make an appointment with the dealership, but I don't want to if it's something I can fix. Are there any other simple things that a noobie like me can check/replace/fix?
