F20B swap

F20B swap
How hard is it to swap a F20B engine into a 1998 Accord with a F23A4. Is it a direct swap or are there major things that need to be done to get the engine to fit and work. Considering the F20B is from an Accord would it just fit right in?

i am not totally sure about the f20b availability it started in either 94 or 96, and was available in the accord sir or sir-t through 02 i believe. The Euro-r did NOT have an f20b it came with a Euro-r H22a, which is basically a prelude type-s engine with a single runner intake manifold.

What are the pros and cons of each motor, the H22A and the F20B? Is the F20B easier to install? does it get better gas mileage? I know it will be harder to get parts for, What are some opinions on this? H22A or F20B???

The F20B is available from 1997-2000. It came in the Accord SiR (Auto) and SiR-T (5-Speed). It is a destroked H22A to make it elegable to race in certian Japenesse racing events where a 2.0L is the highest displacement allowed.
The F20B is pretty hard to get. I do have access to one for sale out of a 2000 SiR with 4700 km on it (2000 miles). PM me if you are intrested and I'll give you the info.
It's got an 11.0 compression ratio and loves to rev high. Why would people want it over the H22A? I don't know to be different? I'm sure there is some real technical reasons out there. I just went with the H22A. I'm not tring to complicate things.
The installation should be just like the installation of any OBD-2 H22A. It does not come with power steering but the block is casted to bolt the P/S pump to it and you would have to change the harmonic balancer to one with a pulley for the P/S pump. The SiR and SiR-T comes with electric assit P/S and the amount of assit can be set by the driver via knob located on the dash. Pretty sweet system. To bad it was never brought here.
