Default best universal muffler sound

Hey. I was wondering what universal muffler made the best sound. I know, I know. You guys are probably thinking why just a muffler. Well I am getting custom cat-back piping and just need to find a muffler to put on the end. I want something that is loud, but it needs to have a silencer. Any suggestions.

straight piping plus + tip (save money) :chuckles:

I recommend HKS Dragger or APEX WS

I have the Apexi WS cat back exhaust and I hate how big the Muffler is on the darn thing. I wanna replace it. Its so glaringly obvious down there. The tip is not so bad but the actual muffler...sheesh. I also wish the 6gen accords had cut outs in the bumpers for the exhaust tips to fit into. I think it looks very professional and not cheap looking. Oh well.

If you want good sound that is loud and can use a silencer get the Apexi N1 n/a universal muffler. It sounds very nice! I really like the sound of N1 mufflers but they are really loud when your run a straight pipe!

The HKS or APEXi Universals are probably the best sounding exhausts, that are not cat-back./ Maganflow also has a very deep tone that sounds great.

i would get an apexi n1, but why the hell do you want loud???

it's cool for a little while, but eventually it's very annoying and can attract cops. it's also is pretty gay when you here a annoying loud exhaust on a slow car like an accord.

yeah don't waste money on a 2.5 piping and muffler, its still gonna sound like shit compared to a cat back (go with greddy, or tanabe). I got the evo, its pretty loud, but has a nice deep tone, haven't got any cops yet... still turn's a lot of heads though
