transmission prob?
My mom has a 98 Honda accord v6 sedan automatic (of course). Since it is my moms all parts on it are stock and it only has 90k miles on it, almost all of which are highway miles. She took it to the dealerships the other day for maintenance and they told her she needs a whole new transmission. The car does lurch a little when going into second and sometimes when the passing gear is engaged, but a whole new transmission seems a little crazy to me. Does anyone know whats going on? Is this a common problem with the accord? And if so is the a stronger after market transmission we can purchase?
thanks for the help

well, based on what I've seen on v6performanc.net, some people have gone thru 2-3 V6 Trannies. I guess your only option is to get the tranny replaced, and get an aftermarket Tranny Cooler + Filter so the new tranny will last longer and run better. (B&M makes them)
You should ask this question here:

I guess another option would be to get a CL-S/TL-S 6 speed swap
