I need to know I have been having some trouble with my 95 Accord EX F22 so I was wondering if rebuilding it and throughing on a turbo would be as cost effecient as a H22 swap. Since the engine is going out and it only had 90,000 miles on it, just checking which would do my more good. Thanks for any help.

the h22a would most likely be more efficent and cost less. With a tubro you need to factor the cost of building up the the motor, put the kit on and also maintaing the tubro since the f22b1 wasn't made factroy with turbo. As sweet as turbo is, and as much as I would love to put it in my car, It wouldn't be a good idea. If you have the money, go for it and keep us updated.

well the H22 really is going to cost you 2000 bucks at your door step with shipping at the least. Install can range from 600-1000 I guess depends where you get it done. So thats like three grand. Im not to good on priceing but I could imagein you could have a turbo kit on your car with a few internal parts for 3 grand. Not a lot of hp but im guessing 180 at the wheels which you would get about 170 at the wheels with the h22. I say if you car is a 5-speed go turbo if it is not I think you would be better off swapping.

What did you do to your F22?

Anyways, I would suggest drop in an H22 since it'll have lower milage and you won't have to keep precise maintenance of your car like you would with turbo. I had a swap myself and so far, I don't have any trouble at all, sometimes, I just forgot that I had a swap.
