Default Results from AEM V2 on Accord

Well I went to the track today. Saw 2 accords with AEM V2's. I had no idea they were the short ram ones. Not super short-ram but it hides between the battery.

1st Accord opioin: The guy said he was kinda disapointed that it wasent a cold-air intake but he said he runs 16.8 consitantly now, and he used to bounce around and hit 17.1, 16.9 with his shortram. He said it was pretty good though.

2nd Accord opioin: This guy said he cant tell if it was his under-drive pulley and shaft or the AEM V2 because he put them on at the same time. But he used to run 17.1 at his best, he now runs 16.9 with the V2 and underdrive pulley/shaft.

So it seems that is better then the first one but not as sweet as AEM says.

What did AEM claim? It's a intake, on a accord, it shouldn't shave off seconds on your 1/4 time...

Makes me so proud of my V6 with the slushbox(even though its no fun). I got the best intake on it, the Poorman's CAI =) My friend dropped 3/10ths of a sec off his quarter on his 4th gen prelude vtec with a aem cai but i don't know how much it helps accords.

Well it did something and the guy could tell a difference and his 1/4 are more consitent and better.

Nope its like AEM's "short ram version" that goes down and hids right behind the battery. Instead of going down like a extra foot where the resentor used to be.

who knows, maybe they plan to release a CAI version at some point, too... i guess we'd have to compare it to an AEM cai, in order to see what kind of improvements the V2 might make. neither of those two guys had an AEM cold air to begin with, right?

if the V2 is a shortram but outperforms a cold air, then why not? its all about performance, so whatever gains you the most power is better.

The V2 looked good to. it was gun-metal metallic.
