Default HIDs for 2003 Coupe Advice

Hi,

I have a '03 Accord Coupe and would like to change to HIDs. That's the only mod i'd like to do to my car, and I haven't done anything like this before. Can I get recommendations of what to get/where to purchase/where to find instructions on how to do it so I can give it a shot?

I'm after the generic BMW type look, the classy blueish-white light.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks.

Welcome. Since you're new and probably not familiar with this site, I will recommend searching for HID in this and other forums. There are a TON of threads on headlights. Also try (learned this from EliteAccord) http://www.hidforum.com .

Just buy any complete do-it-yourself kit for 9006 lights - plug-and-play - and with any bit of mechanical knowledge yoou should be set. Don't pay ANY more than $420 for the kit though - Good ones can be had right around $400

You learned wisely:thumbup:

Yes go to that website. Lots of HID freaks and guru they know it all. Don't fall for the 6000K or 8000K gimmick. You'll learn how to tell the real kits from the fake kits.

Not all HID kits are quality kits. Just because the ballast is Philips doesn't mean its a Philips kit.

Welcome  Like the others said, your best bet is to look around the forums. What model Accord and color do you have?

I figured i should read up on previous HID topics, it's new to me so I just had to post the question. Thanks for the replies and the link to the HIDForum - should be able to take it from there.

I've got the Silver EX-L 5-speed, there was no ETA on the 6-speed so I settled for the next best thing, so far I'm very satisfied. I'm still trying to acquire the 17" rim set off of the 6-spd as my summer set.
