Default Need your opinion..buy 97 or '98 Accord

I want to upgrade.......possibly sell my 95 Accord 4dr A/T with 125K and buy a 97,98 with 50-70K. Would I be better off with a late model 5th gen or early model 6th gen. I know...it depends on a lot of things, and everone's views are different. But I would like to know if there are any glaring problems for either car.........I'm not aware of any. Yes, it will have to be A/T.. . Priority is reliability, and I want a V-6. Thanks !

I'm not sure, but I believe the 98 model accord didn't come with the Immbolizer system (chipped key). Not sure...

Anyways is it true that the 5th Gen V6 was the old Acura Legend motor?

Since you want a V6, get a 6th gen for sure. 200hp vs 170hp in the 5th gen V6.

Styling is a matter of taste, but of course I'm partial to the 6th gen style.

Also a sixth gen looks like a year or two old car since they just barely redesigned it. Although the 5th gen has aged well for what it is.

'98 is the first year that the Accord comes with the immbolizer system.

Yes, it is true that both the 5th gen Accord V6 and the first gen Legend share the same V6: C27!

Well the 6th gen is supposed to be the better Accord when it comes to overall design, but you will be able to get a lot more QUALITY aftermarket parts for the 5th gen since it was the last generation Accord that was the same as the ones sold overseas. A lot of the body kits for 6th gens are made here, and look like they were made in someone's back yard.

6th V6 Coupe. If not that, stick to 5th Gen or spending for a swap for ya car, I like the early 5th Gen look better and I only like the 2 dr 6th Gen.

Rouroni Kenshin. I like the sig. His reverse blade style is off the hook. I can't wait to get mine custom made. Just going to take some time getting used too.
