Hi, I have Bilstein HD/Eibach Prokit with my 97 Accord now. I want to raise my car back to the normal height. I called several shops and some of them told me the Bilstein will NOT fit my stock springs because they are aftermarket shocks and they have shorter shock body. Anyway, I am confused now, can anyone help me out? The reason I want to raise my car back cause I don't like the stiff/firm feeling I have now, do you guys think stock springs and Bilstein HD will close to the stock ride quaility? Thanks.

this isn't much of what ur looking for but with my setup listed below I have great ride quality. The only thing that really hurts it is the 18's but with stock steelies it rides like a dream.

Dont get me wrong, I love the ride of the bilsteins. I just want to raise my car due to the terrible traction in snow.

Is the shock any shorter then the stock shock?
Unless the stroke and body of the shock travel was shortened for the microscopic drop of the Pro-kits they should work just fine.

I don't recall Bilstien being a lowered car shock?

For near stock ride height but better then stock spring performance, I'd recommend the H&R OE sport spring if one is available for you model car.

I know bilsteins arent specifically designed for lowering springs. I am just worried about using the same shocks that I installed with the neuspeeds.

Will the dynamics of the shocks be changed from the shorter travel?

btw, they've been on the car for a year and a half w/ neuspeed sports.

Go ahead and install your the Bilstiens and new springs it will be fine.
The spring shouldn't have changed the shock one bit, you'll be fine.
