Anyone know what the stock, factory-fill oil Honda uses now is?
I'm very curoius about this since some people have told me to change the oil at 500 miles, and others say to leave it in because it is some special factory formula that contains special additives. Is it synthetic or petroleum based? What special additives are in it? Anyone know?

supposedly they put something in to help breaking in the motor. i have no clue what it is. the practice of changing the oil after like 1,000 miles has also went away due to higher tolerances in engine building and this special additive.
