when the car is on and running, disconnect the + from the battery, if the car dies its your alt.....do that first, takes 2 seconds.

ok, i had the car on and then took off the + and it instantly died. so i took that alt out and put the one from my dx motor in. still didnt start so i jumped it and let it charge for a while, took off the + and it died again.

take that bish to auto zone and get it checked,...if you buy one from them it will be around 100 or so,..plus they want the core exchange

i think it might be a bad ground i have causing the alt not to work properly, but i have my mom's friend who's a honda mechanic coming over tomorrow to look at it. hopefully he'll get it fixed so i can take it out some more.

excuse my stupid question, but you only learn by asking questions....to change the alternator on a B-series motor, do you have to remove the axle like you do in a D-series?

it says you have to but i was NOT about to go through all that. what i did was disconnect the stuff that was in the way of it coming out the top lol. more bolts but WAY less of a hassle than the axels.
