Default low rpms??

my 94 civic ex, (auto yes), seems to have unusually low rpms while drivin (when im not on the gas)...it usually sticks to around 2, but ive been noticing recently that its been below 2, sometimes by 1 and other times even lower. what could be the cause of this? and might i be looking at problems soon? could it be due to the really cold weather/snow???

Could be a clogged fuel filter. How long has it been since you last changed it?

He's talking about when he's driving not when he's idling..

As long as you can raise the RPM when applying gas, it should be ok for the most part. My driving habit keeps the RPM around 2.5-3k RPM most of the time (2000 EX auto for reference). Idling RPM is at around 700-800 RPM at normal temp.

i shift my 99ex ar 4500rpm... keeps the engine working nice and smooth.. those engines are designed to take a beatin'....the body on the other hand is a completely different story

around like 40, it seems that when i let off the gas completey (the rpms go down as usual, but usually stay right by 2000), but ive notcied that they are around 1000, sometimes even lower at this speed. just seemed kinda suspicous. the car is due for an oil change. actually a couple hundred past due....dont have lots of time to get it done or do it right now. what do u think?

also, is their anyway to get more heat outta my car? i need to flush out the radiator and change the fluid, would that help at all? thanks for the help guys.

at idle it's 2000rpms? seems to be a timing issue then.
at 40mph rpms are 1000? maybe your gauge is messed up, I don't think your car can do that, if it's @ 1000 rpm's @ 40mph then what is it at 10mph?
