Default B&M ss rattle

Those of you with the B&M Thrasher short shifter and urithane bushings:

Do you experience shifter rattle? Before I did my swap it didn't rattle at all.... now that I have the GSR linkage it rattles... I'm just trying to figure out if it's a linkage problem or if it's a shifter problem.

I may put some rubber washers on there and see if that helps, but I'm thinking that the bolt that runs though the bottom of the shifter may be a hair too narrow and letting it rattle... any ideas?

not sure on the "Thrasher" but I have the Pro-Edge shifter and it rattles like a bish...well mostly my shift knob. I'm gonna try some of that Dynomat (I think thats what u call it) stuff and see if that fixes the problem.

And you guys are running factory motors and linkage right?

Anyone tried to put a larger diameter bolt in where the shifter bolts to the linkage?

I tried Dynamat, rubber h: rings, mucho lithium grease.. nothing works.

I'm trying the bolt thing though cause I think that's what the problem is.

if no one has found a solution to this, there's a year waranty, maybe we should all send them back and demand a refund.

Well, there was a B&M guy out here posting not too long ago. He tried to say that it was cause of the vibration that the N1 exhaust makes, but not all of us have the N1.

As I said above, I didn't have the rattle with my D15B7 and stock linkage, but when I put in the B18C1 and GSR linkage.. it rattles. I have a Dunk muffler with custom piping.... this is a VERY common problem. I'm going to do some messing around with it cause I HATE IT and I'm determined to get the f'n thing fixed...

I'll keep you all posted.
