You should have a valve that opens and closes under your hood to allow the hot coolant to go into the heater core. Open your hood and look for that valve. It should be about the size of a baseball and inline with one of the 5/8 inch size hoses that goes to the firewall. Have a friend move the lever on your dash back and forth to make sure the valve is opening and closing. If it's not, it's probably a broken cable. If it is, it's probably a pluged heater core. Isnt the 2000 model electronic? I took apart the ac controls to install a radio and it has plugs.. I know the 96-98 model had a lever that had some kinda rod connecting to it.
