well its a 95 civic dx 1.5 L the plugs are properly gapped to .044, and i took it to get looked at and i was told that ther was a 90% chance it was the cat converter. also when i hit the gas in the driveway it bogged out and died. and a nice thick cloud of exhaust came out the wrong end of the cool air intake

premium should not be used on a dx... mid-grade (86-88) at the very most... your manual should say regular
how long have you used it? perhaps stuff is now starting to show..

I doubt his gas is the problem. A spark will still ignite the air fuel mixture.

I had a car in which the opposite happened. It was cross threaded from the beginning and the spark plug popped out because of that. Who did the work on the car? Yourself or a shop?
