tranny fluid question
haynes manual says i can use honda manual tranny fluid or sae 10w-30 motor oil. the store doesnt have honda mtf and i dont want to use motor oil. would it be ok to use a universal manual tranny fluid??

i dont mind the price just we needed something to put in the tranny tonight so we can try and start the motor... friday we're draining it and putting in honda mtf

i wouldn't use anything else. if at all possible don't put anything in till you can get your hands on some MTF fluid.
too bad it's the holidays.
