Default 03 TL climate control wacky

My trouble-free 130k 03 TL just started this today: with 'full auto' mode and temp set to 72 (outside about 80 today), it starts blowing very cold air at my feet. I change the mode so it comes out the dash, still ice cold. I dial the temp up to 87, wait a few mins, still ice cold. I have to manually set the 'mode' now, and I have to keep cycling the a/c on and off to keep from freezing to death.

I've never had the a/c checked because it's never been a problem. Am I in the market for a new control module, or just low freon, or both?

thanks

Sounds to me it might be the module. It can't be low freon because you are getting ice cold air.

So, where can I find a new control module? How tough is it to swap out?
