Default Newbie Civic Question

Out of The 97 Civic HX,DX,LX,CX,EX which one is SOHC NOn VTEC, SOHC VTEC,and DOHC VTEC?????

The HX has some eco. SOHC vtec, the ex is SOHC VTEC, the DX in SOHC Non-VTEC, the 99-00 Civic Si has DOHC VTEC...what car are you going to get?

Correct me if im wrong but they never did make a stock Vtec motor for the Hatch.......right

not in the us and not in the 96+ hatches.. the new si hatch has i vtec. the 5th gen civic si hatches had a sohc vtec.

96-00 HX, CX, DX - sohc non v tec (106hp)/ LX and DX are the same engines, the cars have diffent interior options. I think the HX has more HP. And a diffent Intake manifold. (116 hp?)

EX- sohc vtec (127 hp)
(owns all of the above)
99-00 Si - DOHC vtec (160)hp

Actually, the HX does have VTEC-E...some economic variation of VTEC, I believe...
