Default drove an s2k today.

drove an s2k today and at the end (since i'm so used to the keyless ignition systems) i pressed teh start engine button again thinking that it'll turn the motor off, but instead it ran the starter again while the motor was running. WTF!!!!!!

i didnt expect such a retarded system from Honda.

Uhhh... so you had the clutch in while you were parked, then you pressed the starter button to turn it off?

it's not a keyless ignition system, it's a keyless starter, theres a difference.

It's not keyless... you still need to put the key into the ignition h:

EDIT:
Besides, the starter doesn't work unless the clutch is in...

it is keyless starter. the ignition is still old fashioned, but the starter is activated by a button and not a key

You raped that starter.

Poor little guy :wtc:

In fairness to Honda it only says start, not on/off, etc. like many keyless systems. Everyone makes mistakes though

You have to be smarter than what you are working on.

wrong. true keyless does not require a key to be inserted into the ignition to make the starter live just like a race car.

s2000 is a starter button not keyless. another example of a true keyless system is the mb with their wireless card system or infinity tech package which does not require a key to be inserted to make the starter live.
