Default 98 GsR can beat a 97+ Prelude

I beat a third generation Prelude with my 98 GSR on 1/8 of mile drag strip. I was making low 10's and he made 11's on the 1/8. My Integra is pretty much stock except for an intake and exhaust. This leads me to believe being 200lbs lighter is more important than more stock horse power and torque. "When there is only a 30hp differance".

1.Do you agree?
or
2.Was I just lucky?

I agree. 200lbs makes a pretty big difference. If he couldn't get traction, that is his problem.

Do you think the Prelude's 60-100mph acceleration might be better, and if so would our times be a little more evenly matched on a quater mile track?

Yes, I concur the first time I ran against him he false started and missed 2nd gear. But the 2nd time he conveniently got out of rotation order so I wasn't able to go up against him again. But I did get to see his time though it was 11.something. I was making low tens both times I ran. Like said I am trying to brag because everybody else was makin' 8-6sec 1/8mile times.

The highlight of the night was watching late 90's 4.6L V8 Mustang GT get stomped by "4 banger!" 3rd generation civic Si with k20 swap. It was a thing of beauty.
