Ok, I've used the Honda brand spray cleaner and polish on my car before and loved it. Recently I bought another bottle and noticed that this new bottle says "for unpainted surfaces only". I'm like WTF? It's a good thing i looked close because it is exactly the same bottle except for that. I tried it on a small spot on my car and it worked like a charm.

What is the deal? Why is it bad to use on painted surfaces?
