Default Low Beams=Gone?

I dont have a Honda/Acura, I have a Mazda and GF has a Civic, but my forums didn't help me much. Hopefully you all can. I have a 03 Mazda, get in my car, dark outside, go to turn lights on and realize they dont work on low beam. My high beams work, turn signals work, and parking lights work, just not the normal driving low beam setting.
1) Both went out at same time obviously and high's work and parking's work. So probably isn't the bulbs, dont have sunlight to change bulbs to check.
2) My guess is my switch went bad.
3) This is a little off topic but I installed a CAI and FMIC on sat night and everything has been fine until now with the headlights, related perhaps? Any input is appreciated, thanks.

did you ever put "blue" bulbs in your low beams? if so, I have seen them go bad at the same time before...
