Default I need help

is it better to get a two channel amp or a mono amp for 2 alpine type R dual voice coils

It doesn't matter. If the mono is a class D it will be more efficient so there may be less of a strain on the electrical system. Some people say class D's don't sound as good but I doubt you'll be able to tell, unless its a very poorly made class D. Just make sure the amp is stable for whatever ohms your wiring your subs as.

If your going to play those bad boys hard I say class d mono. The amp is more stable with wattage and shouldnt heat up as bad. But a 2 channel class A or B amp with the correct rms will also do the trick. Its all about prefrence and listening style (IMO):thinking: . Most (newer)mono amps are smaller as well due to the thick heat sinks. I say Mono for subwoofers FTW!
