S2000 performance upgrades
Just purchased a new 2006 S2000. Working on cars has never been one of my fine points. Having fun driving is. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start adding performance upgrades to my new toy? It already comes dressed out well, 240hp stock. Without going crazy where is a good place to start?

silly Rico.... SAE corrected the 240 and we lost 10 imaginary horses. the engine makes the same power. the 2.2 was introduced in 04 to add more low end grunt
as for upgrades, the S2k is pretty much taxed stock, theres very little you can do to upgrade it short of boost, just have fun driving it.

that pretty much explains how the new testing standard kills honda (you probably noticed the 210 to 201 drop of the rsx, it's also the reason the SI is rated 197 ETC)

Good info recall!
Comptech has a supercharger that will add 100 t0 105 hp at the rear wheels. Any feed back? Any good/bad experiences?

The '06 has a lot of differences compared to the older cars ... DBW, VSA, TCS, etc. It'll be a while before the aftermarket figures out parts for it.
Other than superchargers and turbos, you can't make much power with your typical bolt-on parts.
The car is very balanced in all aspects from the factory. My advice would be to just leave it alone and enjoy it as-is. Spend your money on track days and HPDEs and learn to become a better driver.
