Default Theatre Amplifier

Has anyone else ever thought of this?? This is my new goal is get a 5 channel amp and to have a true center channel. I'll use the CDT CenterStage kit for my center channel speaker. It's also going to give both me the driver and the passenger dedicated left and right tweeters.

Yes, I have a center speaker customized into my dash right behind the dash clock

Well, alpine makes a 5 channel amp and a 1 DIN center channel speaker that will fit perfect under my radio.

Heres the link on the amp: http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...model=MRA-F350

And the center channel: http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...model=SBS-05DC

Im not sure of the imputs on the amp, I might need a deck with a Digital Toslink Output.

you can use RCA inputs, but you'd need an external decoder.

Ill have to wait for the model change to see what kind of DVD players we'll have. A dDVD player will already have a digital out on it. We have one that has DTS and Dolby decoding, but its JVC and it's not nearly as adjustable as my Kenwood. Alpine has an external decoder, better take a look see at that.

I really like the alpine center channel speaker though.

haha, good idea. Home Theater is cool... and MUCH cheaper! IMO, the car is for driving, not parking and watching movies... thats what the drive-ins are for... the few that still exist.

for driving, if you want a true 5.1, the alpine pxa-h700 or h701 is the answer

personally, surround sound in a car is about the most stupid thing I've ever heard of - you have a 7" wide screen but a 5 foot wide soundstage - it just doesn't match
