Default fried harness???

this is in my 98 civic ex BTW...i tried different ways to hook up my stock reciever and keep my aftermarket cd player so i could once agian have keyless entry and a dome light, i first hooked up the green and the cd player harness then i found that the fat grey wire that hooks up to the cd changer was broken from the stock reciever so i connected them back up held them together and turned over the ignition to see if my keyless would work agian, and it sparked where the connection was broken at..scared me a little bit since the factory deck would never come back on so i unhooked both harneses and pluged my aftermarket cd player back up and it wouldnt come on neither ,so then prayin that it was just a blown fuse ..checked all fuses and they were fine...so im wonderin what ive fuked up, i think ive fried my MAIN harness ,if i did how would i change it? everything else in the car works gauges, lights and all so luckly im only without a radio.....im really needing answers though so if any you electronic people out there know anything please help..thanks

how would changing the radio have any effect on the keyless entry and dome light? Did you Ohm out the fuses, if not you need to do that, because i had a blown fuse and it didn't look blown, so i ohmed it out and it was blown.

The problem is the keyless runs through the stock radio!!! You lose the keyless without the factory radio. schosche makes a specific harness to relocate the factory radio. The part is relativly inexpensive if I remember correctly.
