Quick Gen7 Coupe
I went to the track on the twenty-third of this month and got in around ten runs. A high 15, 14, several .7s and .8s a 14.64 and then a 14.45@96. There were a couple fouls too. I try to not let the revs go below 5500 or so all the way down the track. The planets were lined up and it's happened a few times with me.
It was 11:30 the track closed at 12:00, there was 6 others cars racing - I didn't want to stop but I had to pee, Badly. When I stopped I thought to pop the hood to let the engine breath. The big intake pipe I had in there came apart at the seams. I'm pretty sure that had happened two or three runs back. I tried fixing it to get back out there before closing but I ran out of time.
I was pretty satisfied with the night's results. I removed everything bulky and heavy from my car except the dual 10" JL Audio sub, briefcase full of paperwork and an 05 Honda Accord V6 Supplement service manual. I lowered my front, Avon Tech M500 215/50 17 tires to 27 PSI and raised the rears to 40 PSI. I studied the track - the launch area. I was trying to place my tires on the dull or rough appearing surface when lining up for the start. I tried leaving on the third yellow without anticipating it and keep wheelspin to a minimum. I think I spun the tires in the warm-up box for a second before my best run. Most importantly I try be gentle so no break nothin'..
On the street it's a total sleeper.
