Does anyone know if putting a supercharger or Garrett Turbo will increase torque and mid-range power? I already have Comptech headers, AEM intake, Cat-back exhaust. if so, will it kill the tranny?

-You are losing some low end torque with the Catback
-Comptech makes a bolt on supercharger for $5k
-There is no feasible bolt on turbo solution... you have to go custon
-You will eventually kill the tranny. The 6th gen V6 trannys are weak under boost.

Interesting, losing some low end torque with the catback. I have a magnaflow and it doesn't seem to hurt anything. Any articles on this, I might go back to stock if this is the case, but I really like the sound of the magnaflow.
As for more power, I was thinking of going carbon fiber with the hood and fenders to lose weight then possibly pulling out my v6 and going to the 4cyl 200hp Euro Vtec engine with the five speed manual for more speed. I saw a couple on ebay.
I looked and looked at alternatives and boosting causes damage to the engine if it is not built up for the stress. Trannies I hear are especially weak and prone to failure.

You'll have the same HP but less torque.
I think that motor stocks about 160ft. lbs or torq. while the Accord V6 motor (J30A1) stocks 195 ft lbs of torque. The best and most productive swap for the V6 Accord is the J32A2 motor out of the CL-S

the AV6 tranny will turn into goo if you boost too high.
I'd stop now while you're ahead. If you're willing to drop 5K on a mod, might as well trade in your car + 5K = something faster.
