Default Champions Bash Nov 20th: SPOKES

I'm a glutton for punishment, critique and harassment, so after listening to the old guard of my local Autocross organization all but write off the season finale, I stepped up and said "F*** that! If we're going down we're going down blazing"

SO I'm Event master Novemeber 20th.

A few words: Now the aggies have their "Costascross" a 2 minute long road courses/autocross, and I say "Great, good for them" And in San Antonio everyone seems to get like 8 runs, and I'm all about seat time. But no one does it like SPOKES. We used to even have SPASM Championship(SPOKES Preludes Autocross Series Master). I know there are a few new people in Austin.

And I say this: "Your attendence is expected" So logon to SPOKES.org and register for the Nov 20th autocross HERE!!!

Why? You ask...what do i get for my hard earned CA$H? You get all this:

I was, my STS prelude died on the highway, found a buncha metal bits/chunks in the oil pan. From there the car has been parted out mostly. (edit: I still have my suspension set up it you want it PM me, it'll fit your car) I went to Nats in an STX 5g Prelude, utterly/completely choked. I usually whomp on the car owner, but I coned away good runs. Finished 31/34.

I got my hands on a 99 miata Sport. "THE" C-stock car. Since then, every dollar I've got has gone to V710 racing tires, and EVO schools. I can't even explain how much happier I am, I've struggled to make the FWD -> RWD, and no ABS adjustment for a couple events, but now I've got it down pretty well. Nothing on this car will change except tires between now and Nats 2006.

I put together the last event for SPOKES, because we had 5 Nat'l Champs this year, which is a first for our region, and we had 3 more in contention for jackets. Some old guys didn't think we could turn around attendance at our events, so myself and the rest of the "kids" are proving them wrong...

Yeah, in Texas, we rarely have snow or ice to contend with, but several inches of rain are not unheard of during the "winter". Its pretty good practice for Nats, where its gauranteed to rain on somebody.
Otherwise we take about 4-5 weeks off at the end of December early January.

Thanks to anyone/everyone that came out. Made the event awesome! 89 entrants in November!! I don't think Erik Strelnieks, Steve Hudson, Tom Holt or Andy Hollis stopped giving "demo" rides all day... lots of smiles on alot of novices.
