if they're both made for b-series, yeah, same thing with d-series, but not interchangalbe from a b to d and vice versa
and obd version are not interchangable either, different plugs, i believe

How do I distinguish between the B-series and D-series or an OBD
I am trying to find a replacement from local junk yards but have only been able to locate the Mitsubishi one.
take to the junk yard and compare plug connections?????
