Default Wierd noise coming from alernator??? help

i have a 1992 civic si... for the past few days the car has been idling at 250 very low... and i noticed a whining noise from the alternator area. not really sure what it is??? any help is appreciated. to give you a better idea of what the noise is, it almost sounds like your parked and you turn your steering wheel..and it makes that little whining noise but its constant and very loud.

check battery charge level. if battery is low, altenator will be charging at full capacity and may make some sound. if noise is loud, take a long screw driver and place tip on alt. housing behind pulley while engine is running. carefully place your ear on the handle, fast vibrations, fast humming or roar will be a defective alt. bearing requiring alt. replacement. very important to use honda belt and prefer honda alt. reman.
