Default is it true...when you put in a short shifter?

hey guys. i was talking to this guy i met who owns a 92 integra. he has a short shifter in it, and was explaining it to me. i thought you could just throw it on and go, so i picked 1 up the other day... however, today, he's telling me about how you have to add another plate you your clutch, and adjust the trans in some way, ect... im sure many of you guys have short shifters and obviously know the answer to this question. right now, the worst case scenario is i wont put it in if so much needs to be changed, but hey the thing only cost me about $20 anyways, so no big loss. thanks

i have no idea what your friend is trying to tell you. i actually have no idea where you are getting at either.

your short shifter connects to your shift linkage. it has nothing to do with the plates on your clutch or adjustments to your transmission.

The only thing you may have to adjust is your exhaust, since the shifter may hit it. Other than that, :slap: your friend.

You also need to add Blinker Fluid when you install a short shifter
