Ok, here it goes. Could I use a 99 SI engine harness on my B16? Honda has one for 70$ from their parts cars. I didn't ask if it would work, just if they had one.

Is there any other harnesses that would work? Like a 94 sol?

If that is the harness that came with that engine and it matches the OBD of the ECU that you are running, yes.

why are you not just using your stock harness...there are no advantages to using a different one..you still have to pin out the vtec wires from the ecu reguardless of what engine harness you are using.

ok bud heres your solution if u really wanna go this route, you going to spend probly bout 75 bucks.. to get it but go pull one from you junk yard off of a D16z6 (Honda Civic EX) like 93-95ish

It will already contain the vtec wires that you keep crying about!

It's not just the VTEC. The whole harness is too short. I wanted to hide the wires, but now I'm lucky if I can strech the harness long enough to connect. I won't want to rip a plug or pull a connector. I'm just tryin to be as cautious as possible.

it should reach just fine.. i only had to extend one plug on the back of my stock harness for my b18, & i just cut it out of the loom & taped it up nicly so nothing hit the wires.. it's all good now.

nobody said customization was easy, gonna have to think outside the box a lil bit. if all else fails, extend those wires. just be sure to take your time & do it right if u have to extend them.

best of luck to ya, i kno it can get frustrating at times.

Yea, that's pretty much all it is, is the frustration. I'm actually proud of my self that I managed to do the swap. Mechanically everything all back together, it's just the wires. It's just that first the engine came in a week late because Big Yellow freight sucks balls. Then I was strapped for engine lift time because the guy needed it back. And then working under a car for a week, it just gets to ya. I'm thankful that ya'll put up with me and helped. I'd be lost if it wasn't for you guys haha. I think I'm gonna take a 2 day break and just research and think out side the box and examine my problem.

I'll take a pic today and show you guys where my problem is.
