Omniscient

Well, I'm putting my car all back together. I'm gonna worry about the wiring last. Anyway the thing is, the passenger side axle slid right on. I just had to press it a bit and it locked all the way in. But the driver side goes on maybe 1/4th the way and doesnt budge. I think its the clip on the half shaft I'm not sure. i greased the bejesus out of the axle too. So Is there a tool or method I could use to get it on there?

Edit~Also, on the passenger side, the ball joint nut is kind of snug, not torqued on, but the actual thread on the ball joint is spinning. Is that ok if I put the kotter pin in?
