Default New to forum-New to Acura

Hey everyone, I just purchased my first car, (well, the first one that will actually make it onto the road:P) Its a 1992 Acura Integra RS 3dr. 5spd. It has 160 000km on it (Im assuming thats about 90,000 Miles) From what I gather it has a 140hp DOHC 1.8 litre. I looked at the engine, but I dont know *much about* honda engines.

Its fairly quick for a stock car considering its 13 years old. Although I would like to see 160hp without getting into anything too pricey. Anyone have experience with underdrive pulleys, AEM Cold Air Intakes, plugs and wires, Exhaust header etc on a second generation integra with that engine? I would love to hear input from people who have first hand experience. I have been doing some research, but its like a shot in the dark trying to find answers to my questions on alot of issues.

Thanks in advance guys.

That is pretty low mileage considering the age. An intake/exhaust/header will give you a little bit of knowledge as to where you want to go with the car and will help you determine if you want to pursue the modding further for more hp, or that you lost your interest and would like to keep it with just those mods.

Thanks for the replys guys. Do you know if Intake, exhaust and header will add noticeable performance and perhaps longetivity to the engine?

Longevity to the engine? No, probably the opposite since it will probably entice you to drive it harder. I've had I/E/H on another car. I'd say it's good for 12 horsepower, which is somewhat noticeable to the seat of the pants, but not much.
